What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is just a regular link with a little extra tracking on it. It works like this:

1. You read one of our reviews or guides.
2. You click a link that takes you to a store (for example, a TikTok Shop listing or another retailer).
3. If you decide to buy something there, the store pays us a small commission for the referral.

The price you pay does not change. A product costs the same whether you click our link or go to the store directly. The commission comes out of the store's pocket, not yours.

How Affiliate Links Work Here

We take part in affiliate programs offered by retailers and marketplaces. When we mention a product we tested and link to where you can buy it, that link may be an affiliate link.

We deliberately don't name-drop specific programs here, because the programs we use can change over time. What doesn't change is this disclosure: if a link on this site can earn us a commission, this page covers it.

How to Spot an Affiliate Link

On TikTok Shop Finds — Honestly Tested, affiliate links are the product and deal links we place in our reviews, roundups, and guides — the "check the price" or "buy it here" style links. We won't hide affiliate links inside text designed to trick you into clicking.

Commissions Never Decide Our Verdicts

This is the part that matters most to us, and we want to be crystal clear about it:

• We publish "don't buy it" verdicts. If a product is a flop, we say so — and we do not link to it as something worth buying.
• A bad review earns us nothing, and we publish them anyway. Recommending only things we like would destroy the entire point of this site.
• No brand can pay us for a positive verdict. Our reviews reflect our own hands-on testing, and our guides reflect our own research.
• We link to products because we covered them, not because they pay. If anything, our links exist to save you the work of hunting down the product yourself.

Running this site costs money — hosting, the products we buy for testing, the time it takes to do it right. Affiliate commissions are one of the ways an independent site like ours keeps the lights on. That's the honest trade: we do the testing, you get the truth, and the stores pay a small referral fee when you shop through us.
